Learn to Ride...
Life starts at the Edge!
Whether you are a two-wheeled novice or a seasoned rider, we can help you take the ride of your life! Using the time-tested curriculum of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF), the Rider's Edge New Rider Course offers hands-on instruction and real-road experience that can teach you the skills you need to get the most out of riding.
The Rider's Edge New Rider Course
A proven blend of classroom instruction and range riding, the New Rider Course is designed to give you the knowledge and the basic skills to ride with confidence - we even provide the bike! You will learn from dedicated instructors certified by both the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and Harley-Davidson's® Rider's Edge. They will provide a relaxed and supportive environment that builds confidence and camaraderie with your fellow students. After passing the written and riding skills evaluations, you will receive a Rider's Edge Completion Certificate and MSF Rider Course Completion Card which may qualify for discounts on motorcycle insurance. You will also receive a Certificate of Completion of Motorcycle Training which may waive the riding skills portion of the DMV license test.
To take this course you will need to:
- Know how to ride a bicycle
- Have a valid driver's license, learner's permit, or proof of successful completion of a basic driver's education program
- Have proper protective riding gear: jeans, sturdy over-the-ankle and rubber-soled boots or shoes, full-fingered leather-type gloves, protective eyewear, and D.O.T. approved helmet
All sessions are mandatory, so make sure the class dates you select fits into your schedule.
You will be riding a lightweight, easy to handle sport bike with a rider-friendly design that will have you feeling in control.
The New Rider Course cost is $349 per person, which includes the use of the Blast.
