NEW RIDER COURSE
WHAT TO EXPECT


When you take a New Rider Course at the Riding Academy, you’ll:

  • Learn to ride on a genuine Harley-Davidson® motorcycle
  • Get in-class and on range instructions from Motorcycle Safety Foundation® (MSF) and H-D® Certified Coaches
  • Learn to safely accelerate, shift, brake, and turn, along with maneuvers like controlling skids and surmounting obstacles
  • Earn an MSF Basic RiderCourse℠ Completion Card, which may (varies by state) exempt you from the riding portion of your license exam and score you a discount on motorcycle insurance.

What will I need to register?

You’ll need a valid automobile driver’s license or learner’s permit, and have the ability to ride a bicycle.

Do I need any special gear?
You’ll need to bring the following:

  • A heavy, long sleeve shirt or jacket
  • Jeans, chaps, or leather pants
  • Over-the-ankle, sturdy, closed-toe footwear
  • Full-fingered gloves
  • A helmet that meets DOT requirements
  • Eyewear
  • Proof of E-course completion

SKILLED RIDER COURSE
WHAT TO EXPECT


Designed solely for experienced riders, this eight hour 1- or 2-day course is taught by dedicated Motorcycle Safety Foundation® (MSF) and H-D® Certified Coaches

You’ll learn advanced tips and techniques to help you own the road

  • Control at low speeds
  • Risk management
  • Limited space maneuvers
  • Cornering judgment
  • Swerving and stopping quickly on straights and in curves
  • Multiple curve maneuvers and surmounting objects

When you’re done, you’ll not only ride with more confidence than ever, you’ll earn an MSF Basic Rider Course℠ 2 Completion Card that may qualify you for a discount on motorcycle insurance.

PRORIDER COURSE


Mission Statement:
ProRider aims to provide a challenging, fun, and safe learning environment that will allow participants to enhance their riding experience by developing rock-solid confidence on the road and gaining ultimate control of their ride.

3 ProRider Courses:

  • Advance Course This is an 8 hour, challenging course is a combination of the Precision & Control Course and the Defensive Riding Course that will allow riders to learn how to better handle their personal motorcycle on the road and at slow speeds. This program will incorporate the techniques learned and mastered by police motorcycle officers and will improve the riding abilities of even the most seasoned rider. At the end of the course, participants will receive a successful completion certificate, as well as a refined skill set and newfound confidence.

 

  • Defensive Course This is a 4 hour, advanced course that will better prepare riders to anticipate hazardous road situations and react to them quickly, safely, and effectively. This program will incorporate techniques learned and mastered by police motor officers and will improve the riding abilities of even the most seasoned operator. At the end of the course, participants will receive a completion certificate as well as a refined skill set and newfound confidence. Some exercises practiced in this course include Straight line braking, breaking in a curve, rear and crash avoidance, 30 MPH weave, swerving, and more!

 

  • Precision & Control Course This is a 4 hour, advanced course that will better prepare riders to handle their motorcycles with precision and control at slow speeds and in confined spaces, such as crowded parking lots, limited space turnarounds, and slow-moving traffic. This program will incorporate techniques learned and mastered by police motor officers and will improve the riding abilities of even the most seasoned operator. At the end of the course, participants will receive a completion certificate as well as a refined skill set and newfound confidence. Some exercises practiced in this course include: Double 360, Iron Cross, Offset Weave, Slow Cones, and more!

 

THE TIME IS NOW. THE PLACE IS HERE. Cancellation/Refund Policy:- Refunds will be given if the request is made 10 or more full days prior to the start of your scheduled course. You must contact the Program Manager via email at learntoride@seacoastharley.com or via phone at 603-964-9959. A $50 cancellation fee will be charged. – No refunds will be issued if the cancellation request is less than 10 days prior to the start of your scheduled course, full tuition is forfeited. – Students that are late to class, voluntarily leave, do not pass the written or riding evaluation, have previously rescheduled or missed a segment of the course will also forfeit the full tuition amount. Rescheduling Policy:- Rescheduling a class to another class is permitted one time, space permitting, without penalty of tuition loss. – All rescheduling requests must be sent to the Program Manager 7 days prior to the start of your course via email at learntoride@seacoastharley.com or via phone at 603-964-9959. A $25 rescheduling fee will be charged. Requests received between 7 – 2 days prior will be charged a $50 rescheduling fee. NO rescheduling within 48 hours of the start of class will be permitted. Retesting Policy: Students are allowed to retest on a space availability basis and are subject to a $25 retest fee when the test is scheduled. A retest MUST be done within 30 days of the original test.
